What happens when there's no signal at all?
Square processes offline and takes the payments when connectivity returns. For events this is the single most important capability, and it's why traders switch.
Can I run several bars and see them separately?
Yes — each till reports individually and rolls up into event totals, so you can compare bars and settle with vendors accurately.
Can I sell tickets as well?
Yes, in advance and on the gate, through the same system so the numbers reconcile.
Is there a monthly fee if I only run events in summer?
Not on the Free plan. You pay when you take a payment, which suits seasonal trading far better than a fixed monthly contract.
