A till that gets
out of the way
of the chair.

Square Appointments handles the diary, the deposits and the reminders while you handle the client. We set it up around how your place actually runs — your services, your staff, your cancellation rules — and train the team on it.

Live within the week

Services, durations, prices and staff loaded in — usually an afternoon's work. You take bookings the same week.

Keep your diary and your clients

Coming off Fresha, Treatwell or paper? We migrate the client list and forward bookings so nothing drops.

Your rules, enforced automatically

Deposits, cancellation windows and no-show fees set the way you want — so the system has the awkward conversation, not you.

What it does

The diary runs itself.
You run the floor.

Clients book at 11pm

A free booking site that never closes, linked from Instagram and Google. Square's data puts 39% of bookings between 6pm and 10am — hours you were never going to answer the phone.

Client history, not guesswork

Formulas, allergies, preferences and past services saved automatically. Whoever's on the chair next knows what was used last time.

Take payment at the chair

Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay at the station or the desk. Tips prompted automatically and split to the right person.

Processing time that pays

Book a second client into the gap while a colour develops. The diary understands processing time, so you fill the day without double-booking yourself.

No-show protection

Card held at booking, deposits taken up front, cancellation windows enforced automatically. Empty chairs stop being someone else's decision.

Staff, commission & hours

Individual calendars, custom permissions, clock-in and tiered commission tracked as bookings happen — not reconstructed on payday.

82 million bookings ran through Square Appointments for beauty and personal-care businesses worldwide.

And 39% of them were made between 6pm and 10am — by clients who’d otherwise have rung, got no answer, and booked somewhere else.

A day on the floor

Where the time
actually goes.

Most salons don’t lose money on the cut. They lose it on the admin around it.

01

Morning — the diary is already full

Overnight bookings landed while you slept. Reminders went out automatically at 24 hours. Nobody phoned to confirm, and nobody needed to.

02

Midday — the colour is processing

A blow-dry slots into the 35-minute gap because the system knows it's there. That's an extra service in a window that used to be a coffee break.

03

Checkout — and the rebook

Card, tip and retail product on one receipt. The next appointment is booked before they reach the door, because the prompt is on screen.

04

Close — the numbers are done

Takings, tips per stylist, commission and retail split already totalled. Money lands next working day and nobody stays late with a calculator.

Pricing

Questions

The ones we get asked.

Can I move off Fresha or Treatwell without losing my clients?

Yes. Your client list exports from most platforms and imports into Square, and we rebuild forward bookings so nothing is lost. We'll also tell you honestly if your current contract has a notice period worth waiting out first.

Does it handle chair renters and self-employed staff?

It does. Each person gets their own calendar, booking link and takings, with permissions controlling what they can see. Premium adds tiered commission if you split earnings rather than charge rent.

Can I take deposits and charge for no-shows?

Yes, on Plus and above. You set the deposit, the cancellation window and the fee. The client agrees at the point of booking, so the policy enforces itself.

Can I sell retail products through the same till?

Yes — products and gift cards sit alongside services on the same receipt, with stock tracked as you sell. You can add an online store later using the same catalogue.

I'm mobile or freelance. Is this overkill?

Not at all — arguably a better fit. The Starter plan gives clients a booking link, and a Square Terminal takes card payments in someone's living room.

Next step

Let's look at your
diary together.

A free, no-obligation review of how you book, take payment and chase no-shows. We’ll tell you what we’d change — even if that turns out to be nothing.
