Will it work if the wifi drops mid-service?
Yes — Square processes offline and syncs when the connection returns. In a cellar bar or a thick-walled Victorian pub that matters more than any feature on the list.
Can I run a tab against a card?
Yes. Pre-authorise a card, add to the tab from any till on the system, and close it at whichever bar they end up at.
Does it help with stock and over-pouring?
It tracks sales against deliveries by line so variance is visible. It won't stop a heavy hand, but it will show you where one exists.
Can I do different prices for match days or happy hour?
Yes — scheduled price lists that switch automatically, so nobody has to remember to change them at five o'clock.
