Counter, custom
orders and
wholesale.

A bakery is three businesses wearing one apron: a fast retail counter, a pre-order book for celebration cakes, and a wholesale round with invoices. Running them on three systems is why the paperwork never ends.

Set up properly, once

We load your products, prices and staff before the kit lands, so day one is trading — not configuring.

Switch without the gap

Moving from another provider? We check your notice period, migrate your data and time the change so you're never unable to take money.

A local number that answers

You get a person, not a ticket queue. Same person who installed it, when something goes wrong on a Saturday.

What it does

Three businesses.
One system.

Fast counter service

Weighted items, multibuys and simple modifiers. The morning bread queue moves as fast as it should.

Custom orders with deposits

Take the brief, the date and a deposit up front. Collection date and details attached to the order rather than a note on the wall.

Wholesale on account

Cafés and shops invoiced on terms, with recurring standing orders billed automatically and chased automatically when overdue.

Bake to the actual numbers

Sales by product by day of week tells you how many sourdough to bake on a Thursday. Less waste at four o'clock.

Pre-order online

Christmas, Easter and celebration cakes ordered and paid for online, so the busiest weeks aren't run off a notepad.

Ingredients and allergens

Recipe costing plus allergen info held against products, ready for Natasha's Law labelling on pre-packed items.

A day in service

From the 4am
bake to the
wholesale round.

Bakeries waste money at both ends — over-baking in the morning, chasing invoices at the end of the month.

01

4am — bake to a plan

Yesterday's numbers and this week's pre-orders give you a production list rather than a guess. Less waste, fewer sell-outs by ten.

02

7am — counter opens

Fast checkout for the commuter rush, weighted items handled properly, card in under a second.

03

Midday — the cake conversation

Custom order taken with date, brief, allergens and deposit against the customer's record. Nothing lost, nothing double-booked.

04

Afternoon — wholesale invoiced

The round's deliveries invoiced automatically on account, with reminders going out on the overdue ones without you doing anything.

Questions

The ones we get asked.

Can it handle items sold by weight?

Yes — priced by weight with a connected scale, or as fixed-weight units, depending on how you sell.

How do custom cake orders work?

As an order against the customer with a collection date, a deposit taken up front and the balance on collection. The brief and any allergen notes stay attached to it.

Can I invoice wholesale customers on 30-day terms?

Yes. Square Invoices handles account customers, recurring standing orders and automatic overdue reminders, so chasing stops being a monthly job.

Does it help with allergen labelling?

You can hold allergen information against each product, which supports your Natasha's Law obligations. The legal responsibility for accuracy stays yours — the system just keeps it in one place.
